Central Missouri Foster Care & Adoption Association

Who We Are

Mission: To provide essential services and support to the kinship, foster and adoptive children, youth, and families in Central Missouri.

Founded in 2007 by foster youth, foster parents, and adoptive parents, the Central Missouri Foster Care and Adoption Association (CMFCAA) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting foster, adoptive, kinship, and guardianship youth and families across a 24-county region in Central Missouri. What began as a small support group has grown into a recognized resource center providing direct support, education, advocacy, and essential services to over 640 foster families, 1,400 foster children, and 400 adopted children.

What We Do

CMFCAA provides vital services to foster, kinship, and adoptive families to ensure stability and self-sufficiency. Our programs include 30 Days to Family®, which connects children with relatives or kin for placement, and Extreme Recruitment®, an intensive effort to secure permanency for youth. We also recruit and train resource families to expand the network of qualified caregivers. Through advocacy, education, and partnerships, CMFCAA works tirelessly to provide stability and support to children and families in need.
