St. Raymond's Society

Who We Are

Mission: To serve pregnant women and new mothers in need by providing coaching and resources to assist families in becoming self-sufficient.

Established in 2010, St. Raymond’s Society (SRS) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering new and expectant mothers facing challenging circumstances. Rooted in Christian values, we provide comprehensive support to help mothers achieve stability and independence. Our mission focuses on four key areas:

  • Vision: Encouraging mothers to explore their aspirations.
  • Planning: Assisting in developing actionable steps toward their goals.
  • Freedom: Helping to resolve past challenges to embrace a brighter future.
  • Purpose: Fostering an understanding of God’s love and the importance of a personal relationship with Him.

Through love and accountability, SRS aims to create lasting stability for families.

What We Do

  • St. Raymond’s House: We have established transitional homes in Columbia and Jefferson City where women and their children may live while they participate in our comprehensive self-sufficiency program. This is typically a year-long commitment in which they will receive individualized coaching, accountability, and support.
  • Community Client Program: For mothers who have stable housing but need help improving their self-sufficiency skills, we offer a 12-week program that includes one on one coaching, accountability, and access to classes and events at the St. Raymond’s House.
  • Temporary Assistance: Recognizing that otherwise independent families sometimes face emergency situations like job loss or health crises, we assist with making community resource connections, providing basic necessities of life, and have limited funds available for one-time rent/utility assistance.
