Coyote Hill Jefferson City

Mission: To provide a safe place to be a child for every child impacted by foster care.
Research has long suggested that child abuse is known to repeat itself from one generation to the next. That’s why we create secure homes for children, both at our fostering community in Harrisburg and in our licensed foster homes throughout mid-Missouri.
Jefferson City Ambassadors for Coyote Hill is a volunteer group dedicated to helping Coyote Hill in Cole and Callaway County by raising awareness and providing financial support.
Coyote Hill has served 78 children over a 12 month period and our effort to train and support families continues to grow. There are more than 14,000 children in foster care in Missouri with 150 of those children who reside in Cole and Callaway Counties. For 31 years Coyote Hill has been a safe place to be a child.
Coyote Hill’s Family Advocates play a vital role in supporting foster families by providing in-home coaching, mentoring, and essential resources. They help families with everything from Welcome Baskets to ongoing training, ensuring stability for foster children. The program’s hands-on support has led to a foster parent retention rate of 88%, well above the national average of 50%. Family Advocates build lasting relationships with foster families, guiding them through both the challenges and joys of the fostering experience.
