Volunteer: HealthTran Volunteer DriverThe United Way of Central Missouri and Community Asset Builders are partnering together for a new initiative - HealthTran. Health Tran is like uber for health & wellness appointments! Health Tran aims to ensure all rural community members have transportation to access the healthcare and wellness services they need to live a healthy life. We are looking for volunteer drivers! About the volunteer opportunity: Volunteer drivers use their own vehicle to transport people to and from medical related appointments Volunteer drivers are reimbursed at a minimum of $0.80 per passenger mile Volunteers drivers pick their own schedule – select the rides that meet your availability Volunteers drivers set their own limits – drive locally or long distance Volunteer drivers receive reimbursement checks twice a month Volunteers drivers receive supplemental insurance coverage Volunteers drivers must have a smart phone and internet access Volunteers drivers must have a valid driver’s license and insurance Volunteers drivers must pass annual background check Volunteers drivers must pass 11 panel annual drug screen – no medical marijuana use Vehicle must be in good operating conditionGlennette Combs is the HealthTran Volunteer Recruiter.
