Starting at the Courthouse (80 Lafayette) will be traveling all of Lafayette cleaning up and picking up trash. Gloves and trash bags will be provided. Please meet at Courthouse/State Penitentiary and travel up Lafayette until the Leslie Roundabout. All ages welcome.

Starting at East McCarty will be traveling up Grant Street cleaning up and picking up trash. Gloves and trash bags will be provided. Please meet and the Grace church parking lot, we will travel until the Ellis-Porter Park entrance. All ages welcome.  

Cleaning up/Trash pick up of Eastland exit ramps areas, both sides of Highway. Trash Bags and gloves will be provided.

Assist in cleaning the stairs, stairways, and railings in the stairways at the center.  Also assist in cleaning the walls in the stairways and hallways at the center.

Assist in cleaning the children's tables and chairs in each of the classrooms at the center.

We have a home that we are rebuilding for a family, and the yard needs some clean-up before we begin rebuilding the inside and exterior of the home. On this day, we will be trimming overgrown bushes, pulling weeds, removing an old fence and more to make the yard beautiful again!  

On April 18th, 2026-SERVE JC- we are requesting help to load mulch from a pile into a wheelbarrow, and move it down our walking path, using shovels and rakes to spread it. We will provide tools and gloves BUT FEEL FREE TO BRING YOUR OWN. We will also have snacks and drinks as refreshment. Please wear closed toed shoes and be dressed appropriately for outside/woodsy area.

Assist in cleaning out a storage room at our center.  Must be able to lift heavy objects.

Assist in cleaning out the sheds on the playgrounds at the center.  Please bring work gloves.

We’re looking for volunteers to help with a one‑day cleaning and organizing event! If you enjoy creating tidy, welcoming spaces — or just don’t mind rolling up your sleeves to help out — we’d love to have you join us.

Anyone willing to help! No special skills are required — just a positive attitude and a willingness to pitch in. Volunteers who enjoy organizing or cleaning are especially appreciated.

Your support will help us create a cleaner, safer, and more efficient environment for the individuals and families we serve. Even a single day of help makes a big difference!

Office: Remove the carpet square flooring in the office. Bag it and place it in the dumpster. Scrape the walls and remove any loose paint. Seal all cracks in the wall and paint the walls and baseboards. Trash bags, paint scrapers, paint, rollers and brushes will be provided.

Basement: Bag all trash and remove everything that isn’t a chair or table. Place all bags and trash in the dumpster.

Volunteers will team up with loppers and hand saws to clear invasive plants along the ravine in Memorial Park, opening space for native species to thrive again. The work moves quickly when everyone pitches in, and a site lead will be right there with the group, showing what needs to be removed and keeping the effort coordinated and safe. Volunteers are welcome to bring their own tools if they prefer.

Join Missouri Stream Team and the City of Jefferson on April 18 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. for Serve JC: Wears Creek Litter Pickup, a community-wide day of service at Wears Creek in Washington Park, Jefferson City, MO. Volunteers of all ages are invited to help remove litter and debris from the creek and surrounding park areas to improve water quality, support local wildlife habitat, and keep our community spaces clean and welcoming.

Breakfast will be provided prior to the event, giving participants a chance to connect before heading out to serve. Be sure to dress for outdoor work and come ready to make a positive impact alongside fellow community members and partners.

Please help improve the outdoor grounds of our confidential domestic violence shelter (roughly 1 acre) through tasks such as mowing the grass, moving debris, raking, trash pickup, planting flowers, and trimming bushes and brush. This work helps create a welcoming, cared-for environment that supports our survivors’ healing and hope while keeping the grounds safe and enjoyable.

Volunteers must provide any equipment needed, as we do not have a mower, trimmers, leaf blowers, or gardening tools on-site. All tasks are outdoors only and physically active, including lifting, bending, raking, and working outside for several hours. Volunteers will be supervised by a site coordinator.
