The United Way of Central Missouri and Community Asset Builders are partnering together for a new initiative - HealthTran. Health Tran is like uber for health & wellness appointments! Health Tran aims to ensure all rural community members have transportation to access the healthcare and wellness services they need to live a healthy life. We are looking for volunteer drivers!
About the volunteer opportunity:
- Volunteer drivers use their own vehicle to transport people to and from medical related appointments
- Volunteer drivers are reimbursed at a minimum of $0.80 per passenger mile
- Volunteers drivers pick their own schedule – select the rides that meet your availability
- Volunteers drivers set their own limits – drive locally or long distance
- Volunteer drivers receive reimbursement checks twice a month
- Volunteers drivers receive supplemental insurance coverage
- Volunteers drivers must have a smart phone and internet access
- Volunteers drivers must have a valid driver’s license and insurance
- Volunteers drivers must pass annual background check
- Volunteers drivers must pass 11 panel annual drug screen – no medical marijuana use
- Vehicle must be in good operating condition
