Alzheimer's Association Community Educators are volunteer public speakers who provide Alzheimer's Association education programs to community audiences. Community Educators are needed throughout Missouri to:

Deliver presentations (in person or virtually) using prepared Alzheimer’s Association consumer education programs on a variety of care and support topics.Collaborate with local Association staff to expand programs by securing community partners, scheduling presentations, delivering the programs, and managing needed materials.Serve as presenter for chapter-scheduled education programs and conferences.Connect people with additional Association services and volunteer opportunities by proactively making referrals to Alzheimer's Association programs & free 24/7 Helpline.

The Executive Leadership Committee (ELC) for the Walk to End Alzheimer’s – Sedalia is a group of dedicated business and community leaders committed to making a lasting impact in the fight against Alzheimer’s. ELC members play a key role in the success of the Walk by leveraging their networks, influence, and leadership to help drive sponsorship, team recruitment, and fundraising efforts.

Role & Responsibilities:

Serve as an ambassador for the Walk to End Alzheimer’s within your professional and personal networks.

Help identify and engage potential corporate sponsors and community partners.

Lead by example by forming a Walk team and setting a fundraising goal.

Attend periodic committee meetings (flexible scheduling).

Provide strategic input and connections to grow Walk participation and fundraising.

Inspire other business and community leaders to get involved.

Ideal Candidate:

Well-connected in the local business or civic community.

Willing to use their voice and influence to engage others.

Committed to attending meetings and supporting Walk efforts.
