Volunteer: Patient Care VolunteerOur volunteers perform a a variety of duties to enhance the quality of life for our patients. Our volunteer program is based on your availability and is designed to be a custom fit for each volunteer. Ongoing training is provided to our volunteers and you can volunteer as many or as few hours as you wish. Patient care volunteers can help by providing things such as basic companionship, a good ear to listen and a nice conversation is always welcoming. Light housework if the patient has a need such as laundry, vacuuming, or checking the mail for them. We also encourage joining them in activities they may enjoy taking part in such as bingo, card games or puzzles. We have both home and facility patients who utilize our program. We cover 14 counties surrounding Cole County and are looking to gain volunteers in each county. We would love to hear from you and answer any questions you may have.
