Lincoln University of Missouri was founded in 1866 by members of the 62nd and 65th Colored Infantries to provide higher education for African Americans. It is a historically black, 1890 land-grant, public, comprehensive institution that provides excellent educational opportunities including theoretical and applied learning experiences to a diverse population within a nurturing, student-centered environment.
The university focuses on fostering individual growth through scholarship, skill acquisition, and personal development, offering a range of programs in diverse academic fields. It is committed to supporting student success and community engagement, preparing graduates to lead and make a positive impact in the world.
