Description

The Capital City Race is a premier running event held annually in Jefferson City, Missouri. Designed for participants of all ages and skill levels, the race offers a variety of distances, including a 5K, 10K, Half Marathon, and Marathon Relay.

The event is held in loving memory of Jared Palmer and is dedicated to raising awareness and support for mental health and suicide prevention. Through participation and community involvement, the Capital City Race shines a light on important mental health issues, encourages open conversations, and promotes access to local resources for those in need.

Starting and finishing at the iconic Missouri State Capitol, the race provides a scenic and inspiring course for runners and walkers alike. More than just a race, it is a day of remembrance, hope, and community action—bringing people together to support a cause that touches countless lives.

The Capital City Race is organized by Matt Chinn & his team, a group committed to creating a meaningful, family-friendly event that leaves a lasting impact both on and off the course.
