Girl Scouts of the Missouri Heartland is seeking passionate, knowledgeable professionals to lead 1.5–2 hour workshops for our dedicated troop leaders and volunteers as part of the United Way of Central Missouri’s Day of Caring on Thursday, September 19.
Our goal is to empower our volunteers—who serve girls across central Missouri—with essential skills in budgeting, conflict resolution, or safety preparedness. These one-time sessions will provide practical tools and guidance to help volunteers lead successful, safe, and inclusive troop experiences.
We welcome professionals in the following fields:
-
Financial experts (budgeting, personal finance, nonprofit finance)
-
Counselors, HR professionals, or conflict resolution specialists
-
Safety officers, EMTs, nurses, or those trained in emergency preparedness
You will be supported with training resources, examples, and a council staff contact. Sessions will be held in-person at a location worked out with the volunteer and offered during the morning (9 AM–12 PM) or afternoon (1–4 PM) shifts—choose the time that works best for you!
Help us build stronger, more confident Girl Scout volunteers. Your expertise will make a meaningful difference in our communities!
